August 26, 2009 – Joint BBA-INBA seminar on `New Investment Laws & Investment Climate in India`
Since the last Union Budget had a number of measures on improvement of the investment climate especially with respect to foreign direct investments, the fact remains that there is still cloud over many potent areas where the rules are restrictive. Importantly there are some areas which are grey and cause a lot of interpretational disharmony. The stalwarts and Chiefs of 2 of the most respected professional firms presented their views in the theme and took questions from the Members of BBA and INBA. Mr. Shardul Shroff, Managing Partner, Amarchand & Mangaldas talked about Foreign Investment regulatory regime in India: The policy and recent changes. Mr. Richard Rekhy, COO, KPMG India, addressed the New Direct Tax code: Key provisions impacting foreign businesses. This event was exclusive for BBA and INBA members.
Below are both speakers’ presentation and some pictures of the event.
