EBTC looking for a Director

The European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC), Delhi, was launched in October 2008, with the objective to support European business and researchers to enter the Indian market. Its focus is to develop services and initiatives in priority sectors related to climate change and facilitate market access. As part of the EU Global Europe strategy, EBTC should contribute to the competitiveness of the European economy.

EBTC has been established by EUROCHAMBRES and a consortium of 16 partner organisations, including Chambers of Commerce and leading European research groups. EBTC is co-financed by the European Commission on the basis of a 5-year grant contract.

EUROCHAMBRES is currently recruiting a new Director for the EBTC programme, to be based in Delhi (India). More detailed information and a job description available below.

August 26, 2009 – Joint BBA-INBA seminar on `New Investment Laws & Investment Climate in India`

Since the last Union Budget had a number of measures on improvement of the investment climate especially with respect to foreign direct investments, the fact remains that there is still cloud over many potent areas where the rules are restrictive. Importantly there are some areas which are grey and cause a lot of interpretational disharmony. The stalwarts and Chiefs of 2 of the most respected professional firms presented their views in the theme and took questions from the Members of BBA and INBA.

M.V.Kini & Co. listed among top 5 Legal Advisers for Global PFI/PPP Project Finance Deals

BBA member, M.V.Kini & Co., has achieved top ranking in Dealogic’s “Global Project Finance Review,” covering the global project finance marketplace in 1H 2009.

According to Dealogic, the total Global Project Finance volume decreased by 41% to $115.0bn in 1H 2009, compared with $193.5bn raised in1H 2008.  Western European project finance volume reached $25.6bn; whereas Asian volume reached $36.0bn, an increase of 6% on 1H 2008 and the highest first half volume on record. India led the nationality rankings globally with $31.9bn.
